2. Purpose of the app
NorseStory is an editorially curated educational and discovery app covering the Viking Age, Nordic peoples, Scandinavian cultural history and Norse mythology. The app includes articles, illustrated learning cards, historical events, information about historical figures and personal collection features. Content and features may be added, updated, revised or expanded on an ongoing basis.
3. Free preview and paid access
The app can be downloaded free of charge from the relevant app store. A limited preview, particularly the home or discovery screen, may be available without paid access. Access to additional content and features generally requires a paid purchase or subscription.
4. Access options
Depending on availability in the relevant app store, NorseStory may offer different access options, including monthly or annual subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase. Supporter and patron options may also be offered at higher prices. They unlock the same content and features as standard access; the higher price provides voluntary support for the continued development of NorseStory.
5. Prices and payment processing
The prices and terms displayed in the relevant app store at the time of purchase apply. Payments are processed exclusively by the relevant platform operator, particularly Google Play or the Apple App Store. NorseStory does not process complete payment details such as credit card numbers.
6. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically in accordance with the terms displayed in the relevant app store unless cancelled in time through the account settings of the platform operator. Subscription duration, renewal date, cancellation deadline and other details are governed by the terms shown in the relevant store.
7. Lifetime access
Lifetime access is a one-time purchase that unlocks the NorseStory content and features associated with that product for as long as NorseStory operates the app or its underlying service. It does not establish an entitlement to the indefinite continued availability of any particular feature, content item, technical system or platform.
8. Restoring purchases
Where supported by the relevant app store, previously purchased access can be restored using the appropriate restore function. This generally requires the same app-store account used for the original purchase.
9. Content and editorial responsibility
NorseStory content is prepared according to editorial and historical standards and continuously developed. Despite careful work, errors, omissions or differing scholarly interpretations cannot be ruled out. NorseStory is not a substitute for individual specialist, legal, medical or other professional advice.
10. Availability and changes
We endeavour to operate the app reliably, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted, error-free availability at all times. Maintenance, technical faults, changes to external platforms or necessary development may temporarily restrict use. Features and content may be adjusted for substantive, editorial, technical or legal reasons.
11. Permitted use
The app and its content may be used only through the intended features and for personal purposes. Automated extraction, reproduction, redistribution or commercial use of content without prior consent is prohibited unless permitted by law.
12. Copyright and trademarks
Texts, graphics, trademarks, logos, illustrations, learning cards and other app content may be protected by copyright or trademark law. Third-party rights remain unaffected.

14. Platform terms
The terms of the relevant platform operator also apply to purchases and use of the app-store features. Mandatory consumer rights and applicable requirements of the relevant app store remain unaffected.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms if the app, business model, technical circumstances or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page.
